Collagen Induction Therapy (Microneedling or channeling)
A minimally invasive procedure to assist with collagen production, anti-aging, acne, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles and sun damage. Collagen is an extremely important component to your skin, helping it maintain volume and elasticity. Lost collagen as you age is one of the factors that result in sagging, wrinkled or thin skin. You will see many skin products that have collagen which are great for hydration but a much more improved way to stimulate long lasting collagen is via CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy).
When the skin is damaged, the body produces collagen to repair the skin. Collagen induction therapy, or CIT, uses this mechanism to increase facial collagen (can also be done on other areas of the body). Most people begin producing less collagen in their 30s and the levels continue to drop as we mature in years. Our skin becomes thinner and looser as the collagen fibers dissipate, resulting in wrinkles, lines, discolorations and sagging. Stimulating collagen production can restore more volume in the skin for firmer, more youthful skin. It can also improve the appearance of scars, discolorations and overall tone of the skin.
