About Ole Henriksen
Ole Henriksen has a zest for life and passion for adventure that propelled him to pursue exciting opportunities that ultimately led him to become the beauty and lifestyle expert that he is today. A self starter from a modest middle class family in Denmark, Ole’s curiosity and travels led him on a path to unimaginable success.
Background
With the belief that skin health is beyond skin deep, Ole was inspired to study skin care and cosmetic chemistry and take a keen interest in diet and exercise. He opened Ole Henriksen of Denmark Skin Care Center in 1975 where he combined natural formulations custom blended in his kitchen with sophisticated, state-of-the-art equipment to provide innovative complexion treatments. Client demand and a desire to bring the spa experience to the home subsequently propelled Ole to launch his namesake product line in 1984. He remained true to his philosophy of using the most powerful ingredients from nature, boosted by science; and as a tribute to his spa heritage, Ole incorporated intoxicating aromas and luxurious textures for a truly sensorial routine at home.
Indeed, Soto’s drive led him to be headhunted to open Equinox’s spa and salon portfolio, successfully building the largest day spas in LA County from the ground up, in Century City and later West Hollywood.
Later, Soto applied for the spa director opening at The OleHenriksen Face/Body Spa, and forged an immediate friendship after being the last interview with Ole Henriksen himself, on Henriksen’s birthday! Their combined expertise elevated the success of the spa, cementing its stature as one of the most coveted destination spa’s in the world. In 2012, Soto purchased the Spa from Henriksen, escalating the ranks from director to President and Owner.
Today, Ole continues to travel the globe in search of the most potent and effectual botanicals to create new products that treat, nurture and protect the skin. When Ole isn’t working he enjoys spending time at home – outside and on the rings, which he likens to a relaxing meditation – as well as biking and dancing, which remind him of his childhood. He also loves to travel, visiting new places and meeting interesting people along the way.
